Endorsement Courses
ODU now offers four convenient ways for you to advance your skills and renew your license.
1. Graduate Reading Endorsement (Sessions run May - August)
• Offered online
• Eight-week program
• Courses offered one day a week
• Fulfills state requirements
2. Early Childhood Endorsement (Sessions run June 3 - July 26)
• Add grades four and five to an Early Childhood License
• Offered online
• Eight-week program
• Courses offered one day a week
3. Teacher Leader Endorsement (Sessions begin in June)
• Offered online or in a classroom
• Eight-week program
• You must have earned a Master of Education prior to enrolling.
4. Supporting Technical Courses of Interest Offered Online
(Sessions begin in June)
• Will help with renewal of your license
• Eight-week program
- Introduction to Online Teaching
- Methods to Effective Online Teaching Strategies
- Technology, APPS, MOOCS for Teachers
Professional Development
(Sessions run July 8-12)
• Bridging the Gap with the Ohio Core for Physical Science,
grades four to eight.
• One-week program
• Courses offered from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
• Led by COSI at COSI
• Inquiry into science, math and literature
