As a culmination of their study, seniors will select, research, produce and exhibit an individual project related to the goals of their specific major and their individual interests. Students also will participate as a group to curate and prepare all aspects of the exhibition from public relations to their art exhibit opening.
This junior-level studio course in graphic design focuses on working as a collaborative group of makers, artists and designers, using the community as a backdrop for social impact through design. A large-scale public project will dictate the semester’s work and will result in a public designed gathering and or "opening."
Through independent study, students complete intensive individual work in an area of art or visual communication.
