Ohio Dominican University welcomes its first class of Insurance and Risk Management majors during the 2014-2015 academic year. You will gain the tools you need for effective assessment and management of personal and organizational insurance risks. Courses in Business and Economics – as well as our strong liberal arts core curriculum – complement our specialized courses in Insurance and Risk Management. You’ll also have opportunities to form connections that support your professional development and your career goals. This major is pending accreditation.
This new major in Insurance and Risk Management is driven by a gap between projected job openings and the expected pool of skilled and talented workers to fill them. Ohio has 250 insurance companies employing more than 100,000 people with an average annual salary above $50,000, according to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
