Capital and Special Gifts

 

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of so many alumni, family and friends, we are blessed to have a beautiful campus and stunning grounds. However, to continue to meet the needs of a growing student population we must continually build and modernize buildings. Capital gifts can support the design and construction of new buildings, building renovation and the addition of new technologies. 

Expansion

The new Bishop James A. Griffin Student Center, Lynam Hall, and newly built Battelle Hall, are examples of the growth that is currently underway at Ohio Dominican University. Our growing student population requires more housing offered by the additional 152 beds in Lynam Hall. In the state-of-the-art Battelle Hall, they will learn the science and math skills necessary to compete in our global marketplace. And the new Bishop James A. Griffin Student Center provides spaces for meetings, relaxation, and socialization. 

Renovation

Ohio Dominican University meets the needs of our students with facilities that are equipped for today's demands. With renovated classrooms and enhanced residence halls our resources help our students achieve social, recreational and cultural goals. 

Technology

To remain an educational powerhouse, Ohio Dominican University must stay on the edge of technology - bringing the latest advances to our faculty and students. Gifts toward technology will impact every aspect of life on campus from wireless computer networks, to a campus/community-wide alert system, to a library able to manage the information explosion. ODU students are well-prepared to succeed in our technologically complex world.

Special Projects/Centers/Institutes

Gifts for Special Projects enable ODU to add to our current program offerings. The Sustainability Initiative, the Center for Dominican Studies, the International Student Exchange and Study Abroad programs are just a few of the special projects that have been added to further enhance the ODU educational experience.
