Fifteen Fortune 1000 companies are headquartered in the Columbus region, including six Fortune 500 companies.

In order of rank, they are: Cardinal Health, Nationwide, AEP, Limited Brands, Big Lots, Hexion Specialty Chemicals/Momentive Performance Materials, Huntington Bancshares, Scotts Miracle-Gro Co., Abercrombie & Fitch, Greif, Worthington Industries, Bob Evans Farms, Mettler-Toledo International, Retail Ventures, and Pacer International. Another company of note headquartered in Columbus is Safelite Auto Glass, which is a billion dollar company employing 10,000 nationally (1,400 in Columbus).
