ODU's Commencement ceremony takes place on campus in Alumni Hall. Tickets are free but required for family and guests to attend.
Each graduate will receive up to 7 tickets. If extra tickets become available, they will be distributed during the Alumni reception that takes place after graduation rehearsal, on a first-come, first–served, basis with a limit depending on how many extra we have. You must be present and have your ID with you to receive extra tickets.
If you do not need all of your tickets, please turn them back in to the Student Development Office or Adult & Continuing Education Office so that they may be given to graduates who request more.
The tickets you were allotted but don't pick up will be given out as extra after commencement begins at 11 a.m. on December 13.
Do not lose your tickets as they cannot be replaced.
The doors to Alumni Hall will open at 10:30 a.m. on the morning of graduation.
In accordance with the Fire Codes, guests will not be permitted to stand along the back or in the aisles of Alumni Hall.
Children ages one and under do not need a ticket. However, if you are planning to use a carrier, you will need a ticket as the carrier will take up a space
There is no reserved seating except for guests with special needs.
If you can't make it to the ceremony or you don't have a ticket, live feed of the ceremony will be streamed on TV's in the Griffin Student Center and Alumni Hall Community Room.

Tickets will be available starting December 4, 2014.
You will need a Photo ID and you must sign for your tickets. We CANNOT give your tickets to someone else; please do not ask us to do this. We do not mail tickets in the event they are lost in the mail and cannot be replaced.

On Thursday, December 11, 2014, Adult & Continuing Education tickets will be taken to the Griffin Student Center at approximately 4:30 p.m. to be handed out at rehearsal and will remain there through Friday, December 12 at 4 p.m.
