  • Who Lives on Campus?

    ODU's vibrant campus community is strengthened by the many students who call it home.

    At Ohio Dominican, all full-time students are required to live on campus if at the beginning of the academic year if they meet certain criteria. Full-time means 12 credit hours or more during the regular school term.

    Students must live on campus if they:

    • Have completed less than 56 credit hours;
    • Are not living with a parent/guardian within 40 miles;
    • Are receiving an athletic scholarship, regardless of home address.

    Exemption from Residency Requirement

    All students who have earned less than 56 credits at the beginning of the year but feel they meet the requirements to live with a parent/guardian must complete a Housing Exemption Form and be approved to live off campus.

    Request for Release from Contract

    Students who have already signed a contract, but wish to cancel their contract, must fill out a Request for Release Form whether or not they have moved in. Completion of the Request for Release Form does not guarantee a release from the contract.

    Student Athletes

    ODU requires all student-athletes to live on campus for the entire time their names appear on our athletic rosters while they are receiving athletic aid.
