The LEAD Program

Track A: Associate of Science in Business

Track A provides a thorough introduction to the basic knowledge and skills required for success in the business world. Students develop the communication skills of business writing and speaking, receive basic introduction to the language and structure of business, and prepare themselves to complete the business administration degree.

Admission Requirements:

An applicant must submit proof of high school graduation or GED prior to acceptance and must have graduated from high school or completed a GED program three or more years ago. Official transcripts must be submitted from any high school, college, or university attended. For college credits to transfer, they must:  be from a post-secondary degree-granting institution of higher education accredited by one of the six regional accrediting bodies; be for college-level courses; and were completed with a grade of C- or better. Generally, a previous grade point average of 2.25 or above leads to acceptance in the LEAD Program. An applicant, however, whose grade point average is below 2.25 may be given individual consideration by the Admissions Committee. Two years fulltime working experience is required as well as an application and essay. An admissions interview may be required.  Students may have the ability to earn their Associate degree while enrolled in the Bachelor's program.

Track S: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Concentration in Management

Admission Requirements:

A minimum of 56 semester credits (84 quarter credits) earned from a regionally accredited college or university or from CLEP, PEP, ACE or other standardized evaluations are necessary. Course credits from other institutions will, in general, be accepted under the following conditions:  they are from a
post-secondary degree-granting institution of higher education accredited by one of the six regional accrediting bodies; they are college level; and they reflect a grade of C- or better.
Generally, a previous grade point average of 2.25 or higher leads to acceptance in the LEAD Program. An applicant, however, whose grade point average is below 2.25 may be given individual consideration by the Admissions Committee.  Two years full time work experience is required, as well as an application and essay. An admissions interview may be required.

Master of Business Administration

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program is designed to provide the knowledge and competencies required for graduates to excel in a workplace marked by globalization, hypercompetition, increasing technological capability, and rapid change.  Graduates will possess solid foundational skills, functional business knowledge, and the capacity to apply all that they have learned to real world challenges, problems, and projects.  The LEAD MBA Program will prepare committed students for leadership roles in a broad range of organizations and assignments.

 Admission requirements for the LEAD MBA Program:

 • B.A. or B.S. from a regionally accredited institution;
• 2.75 GPA in the last 60 hours of the Bachelor's degree;
• Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended;
• TOEFL score of 550, if applicable;
• Three years of significant work experience;
• Application, letter of intent with resume, and an admissions interview; and
• Three letters of recommendation.

Master of Science in Management

The Master of Science in Management (MSM) degree is designed to support the effective development of aspiring managers and senior organizational leaders. This program focuses on strategic management and leadership as well as management issues related to improving organizational performance. While this program retains the strong MBA core course sequence, it also includes additional coursework specifically designed for those wishing to expand their capacity to make effective and reasoned management decisions aligned with organizational priorities while remaining ethical and supportive of the development of others.

 Admission Requirements for the MSM degree:

• B.A. or B.S. from a regionally accredited institution;
• 2.75 GPA in the last 60 hours of the Bachelor's degree;
• Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended;
• TOEFL score of 550, if applicable;
• Three years of significant work experience;
• Application, letter of intent with resume, and an admissions interview; and
• Three letters of recommendation.
