Ohio Dominican Appoints New Director of International Programs

COLUMBUS, OH - Ohio Dominican University has appointed Stacy Benander as
the Director of the International Office.
Prior to joining the Ohio Dominican staff, Benander worked for The Ohio State
University in the Office of International Education as an international student and
scholar advisor. She also held positions as a legal assistant at an immigration law
firm and as an elementary Spanish teacher (Cleveland, OH). She is a member of the
National Association for Foreign Student Advising and the Phi Beta Delta Honor Society
for International Scholars.
"I am very excited to lead the International Office at a school as distinguished
as Ohio Dominican University. I look forward to continuing and expanding the offerings
of study abroad programs as well as welcoming an increasing number of international
students to ODU," says Benander.
Benander holds a bachelor's degree in Communications and Spanish from John Carroll
University. She is currently working on her master's degree in Cultural Studies
in Education at The Ohio State University, with expected completion in 2006.
Benander is a resident of Gahanna.
