Ohio Dominican Appoints New VP for Academic Affairs

COLUMBUS, OH - Ohio Dominican University has appointed
Mary Todd, Ph.D., as Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Dr. Todd is currently the Assistant Vice President for Academics and Director
of the Honors Program at Concordia University at River Forest, Illinois. Prior to
arriving at Concordia in 1997, she served on the faculty of the University of
Illinois at Chicago, Roosevelt University, Dominican University and the College
of St. Francis. Dr. Todd is also a distinguished historian, having researched
and written on a variety of areas including gender and women's studies, the
Holocaust, and American religious history.
As Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Todd will be responsible for
the academic programs of the University, providing leadership to ensure quality
programs and ongoing faculty development. She will also serve as a liaison to the
Student Development staff; and manage the fiscal resources of the Office of Academic
Affairs.
"Mary has demonstrated effective leadership at many levels of higher education.
She has a strong sense of the meaning and value of Ohio Dominican's mission and vision
for the future. She is a gifted communicator and community builder, with a strong record
of successful program development, implementation and assessment. We are truly fortunate
to have her join our administrative team," said ODU President Jack Calareso.

part of its future, one built on a long and rich heritage of mission in the Dominican
tradition," Dr. Todd said.
Dr. Todd holds a bachelor's degree in History from Valparaiso University; a
master's degree in History from Roosevelt University; and a doctorate in U.S.
History from The University of Illinois at Chicago. She will begin her new position
on July 1, and will be a resident of New Albany.
