COLUMBUS, OH – Ohio Dominican University has announced its 2006-2007 schedules of art exhibitions at Wehrle Gallery.

View through the Pinhole: New Images by Mary Fahy
September 9 - November 1, 2006
Exhibition Opening Reception, September 9, Wehrle Gallery, 2:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Columbus artist Mary Fahy’s work consists of color and black and white photographs taken with a pinhole camera. Fahy is a lecturer for the Department of Art at The Ohio State University.

Painting and the Pedagogy of Architecture: The Work of Kay Bea Jones
November 12, 2006 -January 12, 2007

Kay Bea Jones is Associate Professor at the Knowlton School of Architecture at Ohio State University. She is working with the Italian Ministry of Culture on the forthcoming Triennale exhibition for the Franco Albini Centennial.

Mel Rozen Sabbatical Exhibition

Mel Rozen is a professor of Art at Ohio Dominican. He has had numerous major exhibits in Central Ohio as well as having works in public collections. He has been a faculty member at Ohio Dominican since 1973.

The Intimate Landscape: New Works by Betsy Arvidson
March 11 - April 22, 2007

This is Ms. Arvidson’s second gallery exhibition at Ohio Dominican. The artist works primarily works with monotypes, painting the landscape directly on a smooth metal, glass or stone plate and then printing the image on paper.

2007 Senior Thesis Exhibition
May 5 - June 10, 2007

This annual exhibition features the work of Ohio Dominican seniors majoring in Fine Art and Graphic Design.

The Ohio Dominican University Permanent Collection
June 12 - September 1, 2007

ODU’s Permanent Collection is an impressive compilation of more than 150 oil paintings, watercolors, serigraphs and posters.

All events are free and take place in Wehrle Gallery, which is located on the main level of Wehrle Hall on Ohio Dominican University’s main campus, 1216 Sunbury Road. The Wehrle Gallery is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Parking is available in the Visitor’s Lot west of Sunbury Road.
