View the works of ODU Division of Fine Arts faculty in a variety of media, from painting to paper to book arts and ceramics.
September 28 – October 18, 2007

Enjoy the candid views of Greece through the lenses of first-time student travelers who studied abroad during ODU’s May 2007 term.

This exhibition showcases the works of Ohio Dominican and St. Mary of the Springs alumni/ae. The exhibition is part of the University’s Homecoming celebration. This exhibition will also be a celebration of the life and work of Mel Rozen and his educational legacy to ODU.

Ann Cushman, fine art printmaker and member of the Phoenix Rising Printmaking Cooperative, creates prints with both the intaglio and relief traditional processes that have existed for hundreds of years. She often combines new and old techniques, creating beautiful and interesting images which encourage careful observation of a multifaceted environment.

ODU Art Department faculty and students showcase their talents in the university’s annual Holiday Art Sale. Stained glass, ceramics, prints, ornaments, hand-made jewelry, holiday cards, paintings, and many other items perfect for holiday gifts will be available. Proceeds from the sale benefit the artists and the ODU Palette Club.

George C. Anderson, a Columbus-based advertising photographer specializing in the subject of “People”, delves deeper exploring what it is to be a human being. His large-scale portraits, showcased in comparative pairings, cause the viewer to further consider the subtle nuances of our collective human experience. The exhibition dovetails perfectly into the topic of the Freshman Seminar of ODU’s new core curriculum, which asks the question, “What is it to be Human?”
March 9 – April 20, 2008
Opening Reception: Sunday, March 11, 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Helma Groot is an internationally recognized artist whose mobiles hang in collections from Columbus to her native Holland. Her work often addresses contemporary political and environmental issues through a media which is known for its whimsical qualities.
May 4 – June 13, 2008
Opening Reception: Sunday, May 6, 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This annual exhibition features the work of Ohio Dominican seniors majoring in Fine Art and Graphic Design.
All events are free and take place in Wehrle Gallery, which is located on the main level of Wehrle Hall, on Ohio Dominican University’s main campus, 1216 Sunbury Road.
