Ohio Dominican and Columbus State Community College Sign Articulation Agreement
March 15 , 2007
COLUMBUS, OH – Ohio Dominican University and Columbus State Community College have signed an articulation agreement making the transfer process easier for and more accessible to students.
“This agreement solidifies the strong relationship that Ohio Dominican has had with Columbus State over the years. It demonstrates that we are working together to serve the needs of the community and make it easier for students to reach their educational goals,” said ODU President Jack Calareso, Ph.D.
The agreement is designed to allow for maximum transfer of credit between the universities as well as a seamless transition for students. Columbus State graduates who transfer to Ohio Dominican holding an associate degree will be accepted with “junior” standing. Those students who transfer to Ohio Dominican without a degree will have their transcript evaluated on a course-by-course basis.
"The articulation agreement between Columbus State Community College and ODU is a great opportunity for students who begin at a community college to complete a baccalaureate degree at a four-year institution,” said Columbus State Community College President Val Moeller, Ph.D.
Columbus State students admitted to Ohio Dominican under the agreement will have an equal opportunity for pre-registration and financial aid. Ohio Dominican will provide onsite and online admissions counseling service for Columbus State students and will provide information about Columbus State to students who do not meet Ohio Dominican’s admission requirements or who need additional program prerequisites.
Ohio Dominican and Columbus State will work together to develop and distribute articulated transfer guides and materials. The agreement became effective February 1, 2007.
