Ohio Dominican Holds Events for Holiday Season

COLUMBUS , OH – Ohio Dominican University has several events scheduled throughout the holiday season. All events will be held on Ohio Dominican’s main campus located at 1216 Sunbury Road. The events include:
Annual Christmas Toy Drive
November 12 - December 10, 2007
ODU joins the Salvation Army Angel Tree Gift Program. A tree decorated with gift tags will be located in the front of Erskine Hall. Each tag lists specific gifts and sizes for clothing purchases to help the needy children in Columbus have a Merry Christmas. Call 614.251.4568 for information about how to make a contribution.
Annual Tree Lighting Cremony
November 27, 2007 at 6:00 p.m.
The celebration begins in the Matesich Theatre in Erskine Hall. All are welcome to join in this enchanting evening of lights, songs, and expressions of holiday cheer! (No RSVP required.) With the assistance of young children ringing bells to magically turn on the lights, the procession will set the campus aglow with the brightness and joy of the holiday season. ODU’s Marching Band will be on hand to play holiday favorites. Refreshments will be available in Hamilton Hall following the Lighting. Please come and join the fun!
Annual Wehrle Holiday Art Market
December 3 - 7, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Stained glass, ceramics, prints, ornaments, hand-made jewelry, holiday cards, paintings, and many other items perfect for holiday gifts will be available. Proceeds from the sale benefit the artists and the ODU Palette Club.
The holiday art sale gives students the opportunity to display their artwork outside of the classroom and is a great opportunity for the surrounding community to purchase Christmas gifts.
This event is open to the public. Wehrle Gallery is located on Ohio Dominican University’s main campus, 1216 Sunbury Road. Free parking is available in the Visitor’s Lot west of Sunbury Road.
