Ohio Dominican Names Reed as Dean of Student Life

COLUMBUS, OH – Ohio Dominican University has appointed Sharon Reed as Dean of Student Life for the University.
Dean Reed will be primarily responsible for oversight of Residence Life, Student Activities and New Student Orientation and will serve as a resource for general student concerns.
In making this appointment, Drew Klein, Vice President for Student Development, stated, “In the fours years that we have worked together, Sharon has shown an unflagging commitment to the success of our students. She will be a natural fit as the Dean of Student Life and continue to have a positive impact on student life.”
Sharon Reed has served as the Director of Counseling Services at Ohio Dominican since 2001. Reed came to Ohio Dominican after 10 years of private practice work, including counseling students at the Pontifical College Josephinum from 1992-2001. Prior to that, she was the Director of the Office of Youth Ministry for the Diocese of Columbus. She holds a master’s degree in Counselor Education from Cleveland State University, with additional clinical coursework from the University of Dayton. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (Social Studies) from the University of Dayton. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the American College Personnel Association.
Reed resides in northeast Columbus, Ohio
