The Master of Education, with a focus on technology, is designed to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and dispositions of candidates employed as teachers. Program standards present the advanced professional as reflective; cognizant of cultural diversity and individual differences; aware of research; with the ability to assume leadership responsibilities. A hallmark of the program process is the integration of technology leadership across the curriculum and the development of an ongoing research agenda. The program is available in a traditional and online format.
ODU's Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language program with licensure is an advancement of the university’s long and rich tradition of equipping educators to teach English language learners. The Master of Arts in TESOL is designed for those who seek to expand their knowledge, skills and disposition for teaching in this important area. The Master's Program in TESOL offers a firm foundation in TESOL history, principles and practices, as well as current research methods and professional development.
