Reisert Earns Back-to-Back National Player of the Week Awards

Cris ReisertKANSAS CITY, MO - The ninth 2007 NAIA weekly football awards were handed out and Cris Reisert of Ohio Dominican was named NAIA Offensive Player of the Week, for the week ending on Sunday, Nov. 4.

Reisert, a 6-foot-2, 205 lbs., junior quarterback from Cincinnati, Ohio, wins the award for the third time this year and second straight week after he broke his own conference records for passing. In the 50-28 win at Urbana , Reisert set a Mid-States Football Association single-game record for passing yards (556) and set a new season record in the MSFA with 43 touchdown strikes. On the day, he was 36-of-51 with six touchdowns and no interceptions for a pass efficiency rating of 201.0, the third time this year of having over a 200-rating. 

In the NAIA, Cris leads all quarterbacks in passing yards/game (427.7) and total offense/game (430.0 yards). The 2006 AFCA All-American sports six 400-yard passing games this year and has thrown 43 touchdowns against seven interceptions, which leads all divisions. Reisert is second behind Texas Tech's Graham Harrell with 4,290 yards passing this season.

ODU will conclude their regular season this week as they host #23 ranked Malone College at Panther Field in Columbus , Ohio . Kick-off is set for 12:30 p.m.
