Ohio Dominican University Student Theatre to Present GREASE

COLUMBUS, OHIO-- Ohio Dominican University will present the musical GREASE at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21 and again at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22. All performances will be in the Matesich Theatre located in Erskine Hall on the Ohio Dominican main campus, 1216 Sunbury Road. Tickets are $5 at the door, with no advance sales.

The musical follows the lives of a group of high school friends as they endure the many trials and tribulations of high school. After a summer fling between the leader of the “Burger Palace Boys”, Danny Zuko and the “new girl”, Sandy Dumbrowski, the two are reunited at school. Sandy is disappointed by the lack of excitement she gets from Danny who is “too cool” for her now that he is back with his friends; Kenickie, Doody, Roger, and Sonny. The “Pink Ladies”; Rizzo, Frenchy, Marty, and Jan try to help Sandy adjust to her new life at Rydell High while dealing with their own personal situations.

The cast includes freshman Barry Reinholz as Danny Zuko; senior Christina Malagisi as Sandy Dumbrowski; sophomore Phillip Rogers as Kenickie; and senior Kristen Brown as Rizzo.

Production Staff: Students from the jazz music department of The Ohio State University will serve as the accompanying orchestra. Jeremy Amweg, a junior at OSU, is the music director and Kristin Gloege is serving as choreographer. Kristen Leffingwell will direct with Dave Martin serving as production manager.
