Ohio Dominican University LEAD Program Appoints New Director

William A. VenselCOLUMBUS, OH -- Ohio Dominican University has appointed William A. Vensel as Dean for Adult Programs and Director of ODU’s Learning Enhanced Adult Degree (LEAD) Program.

“Bill has served in many faculty and staff positions over the years at Ohio Dominican,” said ODU Interim President Bishop James A. Griffin. “His leadership and strong work ethic will continue to enhance this important program for our university.”

Vensel began his tenure at the university in 1970. Through the years he has served the university in several positions including Associate Professor of Communications; Director of the Theatre Department; advisor to the student newspaper, The Tower; and Chair of the Division of Fine Art and Communication. In 1997, Vensel was appointed Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and was promoted in 2001 to Dean of the School of Undergraduate Studies.

Vensel is an Ed.D. candidate in Higher Education Leadership program at Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Drama from St. Ambrose College and a master’s degree in Theatre from Villanova University.

Ohio Dominican University’s LEAD Program is designed specifically for working adults with structured innovative programs to let students earn their degree without compromising their personal and professional goals.  The LEAD Program offers five courses of study: Associate of Science in Business, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Concentration in Management, Master of Business Administration, and Master of Science in Management.
