Accreditation
Ohio Dominican has completed its evaluation on January 28-30, 2008 by a team representing the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Ohio Dominican has been continuously accredited by the Commission since 1934. The team has reviewed the institution’s ongoing ability to meet the Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation. Below is a self-study document compiled by Ohio Dominican and submitted to the HLC for reaccreditation. A full report from the HLC team will be available in the coming months.

Ohio Dominican University was chartered in 1911 as the College of Saint Mary of the Springs. The name was changed to Ohio Dominican College in 1968. The College became Ohio Dominican University in 2002. Accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association (30 North LaSalle Street, Suite 2400, Chicago, Illinois 60602-2504; 1-800-621-7440; www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org, it is approved by the Ohio Board of Regents and, for the preparation of teachers, by the State of Ohio Department of Education.
