The Sport Management Society is a student organization for students with a major, minor, or interest in Sport Management.  The society exists to promote academic and career excellence in sport management related goals.  This is accomplished through peer mentoring, social activities, sport management speakers, field trips, professional development workshops, and sport event planning.  Information is also offered regarding potential internships, career positions, and graduate programs in sport management.   

In the Spring semester of 2007, the Sport Management Society began with three officers.  Officer positions now exist for President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Marketing Director.  The membership has grown to over 40 students in the Fall of 2008.
