| Biography: |
Dr. Imali J. Abala, an Associate Professor of English at Ohio Dominican University, received her Ph.D and M.A. in English, and M.A. in Black Studies from The Ohio State University and her B.A. in Education (with certification in English at the secondary level) from Wilmington College. Her fields of study include Nineteenth century American literature, Folklore, African literature and African American literature. She has worked as a full-time faculty member at ODU since 1992. She teaches freshman writing courses, International Literature, Literature of American diversity, and Nineteenth Century American Literature.
