Biography: Dr. Crimmings, Professor of Psychology, earned her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology at The Ohio State University. Her major areas of interest include women's mental health and treatment issues, the etiology and treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, and eating disorders, and the psychology of infertility. Dr. Crimmings teaches courses in psychopathology, counseling theory and process, personality theory, the psychology of women, social psychology, and human sexuality. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Ohio Psychological Association, and the Central Ohio Psychological Association. Dr. Crimmings has been the recipient of ODU's Conley Award for Distinguished Teaching in 1989 and 2002. She is a licensed psychologist in the State of Ohio and has a small private psychotherapy practice in Columbus.
