Biography: Godwin Duru, Associate Professor of Economics and a Knight of St. Columbus, has been a faculty member of the Ohio Dominican since Fall, 1989. He teaches International Trade & Finance, Money, Credit & Banking, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Public Finance cum Service Learning, Business, and Financial Institutions. Dr. Duru is an active participant in various accademic seminars, workshops and conferences relating to Economics with particular interest in the Third World Economic Development problems, and global business issues, as well as economics text-book review. Currently, he is engaged in research projects entitled 'The Euro: A Challenge to the Dollar in the Global Economy'and 'In Search of a Third World Model State for the Third World.' He is a member of the Council of Ethics in Economics, the Ohio Association of Economists and Political Scientists, the Association of Third World Studies, a Knight of Columbus, and the St. Joseph's Cathedral Parish Council. He also serves in various university committees such as Academic Standing, Student Development, and Service-Learning Curriculum and is deeply committed to the university mission.
