Barbara Finan, Professor of Theology, also served as Chair of the Division of Philosophy and Theology and as Director of the M.A. in Theology program. She is an active member of both the College Theology Society and the Catholic Theological Society of America.

Dr. Finan specializes in Trinitarian theology--with an emphasis on the theology of Karl Rahner. She has published several articles on the Holy Spirit and many book reviews, but considers herself first and foremost a teacher. In 1998 she received the Master Teacher award which enabled her to develop and teach her "dream course" on Karl Rahner's thought and to travel to Germany and Austria in order to visit the places of Rahner's life and death.
