| Biography: |
Before joining Ohio Dominican, Dr. Martínez taught at Denison University in Granville, Ohio and the Université d’Angers in France. His research interests include contemporary Caribbean literature with an emphasis on Cuban prose. He has published articles in Torre de Papel and Escritos. Besides publishing articles he has also presented papers on contemporary Cuban writers. In May 2001 he was co-chair of the Cincinnati Conference on Romance Languages and Literatures. Before beginning his academic career he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Marketing degrees from the University of Miami and worked extensively in Latin America.
