Dr. Michael previously served as an assistant professor and director of Special Education programs and chair of the Special Education Department at Ursuline College and has held teaching positions at Ursuline and Lorain Community College. She received a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Capital University; a master’s degree in Art Education and Ph.D in Special Education, both from The Ohio State University. She is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children, the Northwest Ohio Infant Mental Health Chapter, Teachers in Higher Education and the Firelands Association for Visual Artists. Michael resides in Oberlin.
