Jay Young, Chair of the Division of Business and Associate Professor of Management and Leadership, draws on his experience as a Vice President and commercial lender with NationsBank (now Bank of America) and his tenure with Texas Christian University as Director of the Leadership Center in order to enrich his business classes with practical experience. Dr. Young teaches classes in organizational strategy, organizational behavior, management, and leadership. Additionally, Dr. Young is licensed in Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor and is certified in a number of management, leadership, personality, and communication instruments including the Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. He is an active member of the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society, the Ohio Counseling Association, and the C.G. Jung Association of Central Ohio. He is currently on the advisory board of the Family Business Center of Central Ohio and the C.G. Jung Association of Central Ohio. Dr. Young's current interests include the relationship between social capital, influence, and performance, organizational and individual transition and change, individual and organizational development, and the pedagogy of business education. |
