Application & Cost

Submit your application online through the Centralized Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA).

Be sure to review and complete all of the admission requirements for ODU's PA Program.

Apply through CASPA

For the class applying to start in August 2025:

  • CASPA will open for 2024-2025 applications on April 25, 2024

For the class applying to start in August 2025:

  • The deadline to submit your ODU PA application through CASPA is Oct. 1, 2024

Once an applicant is accepted to the program, a $500 deposit must accompany the acceptance reply.

A second deposit of $1,000 must be received by the program to secure a seat in the program. This second deposit is due approximately three weeks from date of acceptance. The applicant will be notified of the exact date in the acceptance letter. 

These deposits will be applied to the first semester's tuition, however, they are non-refundable should the student fail to enter the program for which he or she has been accepted.

 

ODU’s Physician Assistant Studies Program tuition for the incoming class for the 2024-2025 academic year is $968 per credit hour. Tuition rates are cohort based. The estimated cost for ODU's Physician Assistant Studies Program is calculated annually and subject to change.

The total estimated cost for ODU's PA Program is $99,931 including tuition, fees, and other estimated expenses listed below.

  • PA National Certifying Examination (PANCE): $550**
  • State of Ohio Licensure Fee: $404***
  • Students are responsible for all travel expenses (e.g., housing , travel and food) to and from their assigned clinical rotation site.****

Cost of Attendance: In addition to the tuition and fees listed above, students in ODU's PA Program are required to pay transportation and housing costs for the duration of their program attendance. For a complete overview of ODU’s Cost of Attendance, click here

*Students are responsible for any additional expenses if further screening is deemed necessary by the program or clinical site.

**PANCE is taken post-graduation and is required to practice as a PA-C. The expense is typically incurred during the clinical phase.

***State licensure fee will vary by state and is required to practice as a PA in Ohio. The expense is typically incurred post-graduation. The above estimate is based on state of Ohio PA licensure fee.

****Students are required to complete 11 clinical rotations. All students will be expected to travel to various rotation sites. While the majority of the clinical sites are in state, some may require travel out of state. Rotation assignments are determined by the program.
