From Your Alumni Office
Another exciting “first” is coming to alumni in and around
Cleveland and Cincinnati in several weeks! We are launching our
inaugural Summer Send-offs with the Admissions Office to
give incoming students an opportunity to meet returning students
and alumni from their areas. Hopefully, this project will
expand in size and locations in the years ahead. We hope you
will join us to welcome our future alumni to our ODU family.
Details are elsewhere in this issue.
“Last call,” as the saying goes, to RSVP for our Annual
Alumni Happy Hour on July 19 at Barley’s Brewing Company,
Ale House No.1, on High Street in the Arena District. The $8
admission includes great appetizers and a chance to win door
prizes, not to mention the fun time. We’d love to see you. Call

And finally, it's not too soon to start planning your class
party for Homecoming 2007, October 26-27. 2007 is the
reunion year for classes ending is 7s and 2s. Our office would
be happy to assist you in planning your gathering.
We have more activities on the Fall horizon and will share those
details in the weeks ahead. Meanwhile, we hope that summer
provides you with pleasant times with family and friends and

In the Summer Edition of ODUnews, we misstated that a Bachelor of Science
degree in Environmental Science is now being offered. The program is currently
under development, and the requisite approvals will be sought in the coming
academic year.
