From Your Alumni Office
Congratulations to Tammy Reichert, who was recently named your Assistant Director of Alumni Relations. Tammy has been a vital member of the ODU family for the past five years, initially in various roles with the Helpdesk and more recently utilizing her English degree and technology skills as an invaluable assistant in the Alumni Office. Tammy will have increased responsibilities, leadership and interface with more alumni in her new role. And that is a win-win for everyone!

Spring Break has ended, and we begin our second half of Spring Phonathon. Our outstanding student callers have achieved remarkable success thus far in securing first-time gifts from alumni who had previously not given to the Annual Fund. Please consider opening your heart and your checkbook when you are called.

In recent months we have learned of alumni who have been facing serious illness or other significant challenges in their lives. Those have been opportunities for us to offer spiritual support in our daily prayers and to share their prayer needs with our chaplain, Fr. John Boll ’76, who includes these individuals in the Masses celebrated in our chapel. In the months ahead, we hope to provide an online prayer network on our website. Meanwhile, please let us know if you have any special needs for prayers.

If you are remotely like me (Sue), you might feel like Lent is slipping by without the fulfillment of good intentions. May we pause in these final days of Lent to remember who we are and who we are called to be. Happy Easter, friends.

Sue  & Tammy
