From Your Alumni Office
Homecoming was wonderful! Thanks to all who came and celebrated
in any of the many events. Congratulations again to Fr. John
Boll ’76 (pictured left with his family) on his 25th anniversary of his ordination.
We also
enjoyed “Homecoming” visits with some of our alumni here from
their international homes. Frank Billingsley ’90, all the way
from Brussels, Belgium, joined classmate Missy Nash and others
at the tribute to Mel Rozen during the alumni art exhibit
opening (see below). Later in the week, we had a great visit with Andre Musssetti-Thenor
’03, here from Cordova, Argentina (pictured right with Sue and
Tammy).
We are
honored to specially invite all ALUMNI VETERANS to be guests at
our final football game of the season, this Saturday, November
10th, as our undefeated Panthers face Malone for the 12:30
kick-off. Please e-mail or call us by this Friday to let us know
if you plan to attend this special Veteran’s Day tribute.
As you count
your blessings and give thanks this month, we hope you stop for
a moment and think about Ohio Dominican. Your experiences as a
student on this campus helped you, in one or more ways, be who
and where you are at this moment in your life. We hope that good
memories remind you to think about our students today who have
replaced you in Erskine, St. Albert, Wehrle, Spangler, Sansbury
and Fitzpatrick Halls. Please say a prayer for them and their
professors, as well as our Dominican sisters who helped our
university become what it is today.
I hope you
have had or will have the opportunity to talk with
some of our
great students during our annual Fall Phonathon. They are a
proud reflection of ODU and the tradition YOU helped to
establish. We are especially grateful to all of you who have
responded kindly towards their requests. If you haven’t yet done
so, your gift of any amount to our annual fund would be an ideal
way to express your gratitude for your education and experience
at your alma mater. We appreciate your consideration.
We love to
hear from you and welcome the opportunity to keep you connected
to your classmates and alma mater. We are thankful for you and
ask God to shower abundant blessings on you and yours,
Sue & Tammy
