Double Dominicans
Janet Gore '83 was a student worker at the desk in Fitzpatrick Hall. It was there that
Bassam Jirjis '86 met Janet.
Janet says, "Bassam would always stop to visit. We became best friends, then
started to date." Ohio Dominican is not only the place where Janet and Bassam met
and fell in love; they were also married on campus.
"We will always remember the love and support we received from the people at
Ohio Dominican . Our special friendship with Sister Rose Dominica gave us the strength
that we needed in our early years of marriage. Sister Rose and Ohio Dominican will
always have a special place in our hearts."
Janet and Bassam have been married for over 20 years. They have three children,
Michael, Christina, and Jason.
