Double Dominicans
James and Shanele met at the start of their Junior year in an American Sign Language
Class and quickly became friends. James was pursuing a degree in Philosophy while
discerning a calling to religious life and Shanele was pursuing a degree in Business
Administration. As only God could forsee, their paths would be joined for life. Shanele
converted to Catholicism in '03, and they were married in May of 2004. Both James and
Shanele are presently working in Law Enforcement within Franklin County.
Both James and Shanele reflect on their time spent at Ohio Dominican College
(Both graduated in the last class before attaining University Status) as a rewarding
journey towards Truth and Love. James is a Third Generation Dominican

Both James and Shanele look forward to giving their future children the same
opportunity to experience this Dominican tradition that has been such an influence
in their lives.
