A Little Bit of My Life...

            Hello, my name is Alathea Darden, and I would like to welcome all returning students as well as incoming freshman, international, and transfer students. I am a junior here at Ohio Dominican University majoring as an Intervention Specialist. When on campus my activities vary from being a Peer Advisor, to being involved in numerous organizations such as BSU (Black Student Union), and the Mila Dance Team. And while away from campus I engage in a large number of ministries at the New Covenant Believers’ Church. I want to share an acrostic poem that explains a little more about me.

We all started the semester on Monday, August 20, 2007 and I am not sure about you but I have a lot of homework all ready.  I have reading from every class and I have two quizzes to study for by Tuesday.  As I was on the internet earlier today to get my mind off of my homework and studies for a while I came across a poem that I found very humorous.  Just a little something small to end this blog, it is entitled My Homework by Michael Rawlinson:

Sometimes my homework is small
Sometimes my homework is long
But whenever I do my homework
My homework is always wrong

Sometimes I do my homework at a slow pace
Sometimes I do my homework in the fast lane
But however I do my homework
my homework is still a pain

Sometimes my homework is easy
Sometimes my homework is hard
But whenever I can't do my homework
I feel like a retard

I want you to know that you are not the only one that might have a hard time in class and trying to find the time to read and study but just remember to apply yourself and you will be okay.  Have a blessed year and thanks for taking the time out to read my blog.  Hope you enjoyed it.
