Midterms...ughh

First of all I'd just like to say that Ohio State is #1 in the BCS poll and, hopefully, well on their way to a national title. Because of midterms we didn't go anywhere, so this past weekend was pretty uneventful. We all just bummed around Rome, going to a couple cafes and then an Irish pub on Saturday to watch college football. It was kind of relaxing, though, not to have to pack and catch connecting trains all over the place then get home Sunday night just in the nick of time to sleep. Tommorrow I have my art history midterm, which I'm not particularly looking foward to, as well as an in-class oral report on Friedrich Nietzsche's notion of aesthetics. The next day is a political science midterm on the European Union. Fun stuff, I know. But after I get through that I've another trip to Pompeii scheduled with my art history class on Friday. Also, me and a couple buddies began taking salsa lessons. It's fun and obviously hilarious to watch. Hopefully by the time I get back I'm decent enough to show someone the basic steps. Rule #1: talk with your feet. That's what my instructer says, even though he speaks hardly any English. It's getting chilly over here, too, especially at night. Thank God! It was so hot before, almost unbearable. It kind of nullifies the sweet, sick smell of garbage that lingers around certain areas of Rome as well. So even though my beach days here are over, there's much more of an upside to the changing of the seasons. Which makes me wonder, how's fall in Ohio? Well, sorry for the short blog, but I have to go study the ancient Roman Forum and how it worked symbolically within society :( Looks like I'll need a redbull. C ya!
