Glad to see you're back
Hello again, Constant Reader, and happy new year. I see you're back for more stories and opinions. I hope I can keep you interested now that there won't be anymore European adventures. Oh well. I should still have enough in the tank for one more semester.
Saturday I went to the Steelers game with my Uncle, brother in law and his friend from Columbus. We did some tailgating and had a great time watching the final drunken revelry that is Pittsburgh tailgating. The game was a bit of a bummer, though. Just when the Steelers had come back from 18pts to take the lead they lost it again. But all in all it was still a great time.
I got my grades back today from Italy, three A's and a B. Not too shabby considering the culture shock and weekly travel. I'll miss some of the classes, Philosophy and English in particular. I'll also miss the whole classroom experience. There were so many different people from so many different backgrounds. One day you heard an opinion on American politics from someone who grew up in Eastern Europe, then the next day an opinion on Italian fascism from an Italian Prof. who was actually alive during WWII. Some food for thought there.
Lastly, Ohio State plays LSU tonight. If OSU can control the clock and play solid defense I think they can do it. Oh, and pay attention to the New Hampshire primaries, boys and girls. Obama and McCain, it seems, should come out the winners, but there's still a long way to go to each party's nomination. I'll keep you updated sporadically throughout the campaign season. Until the next time stay out of trouble, Constant Reader. And stay classy.
