Strange Wilderness, Mia, Obama Surge

This weekend I went to see the new movie "Strange Wilderness" with a few friends from OSU. It's a Happy Madison Production, which means Adam Sandler produced it so all the usual actors are in it. I knew the comedy would be kind of stupid (and it was) but I didn't think it would be that funny. Let me tell you, though, it was hilarious. If you like that Will Ferrell kind of humor then I'd recommend it. Sometimes I think everyone needs to go to a light comedy to break up the routine of the week, whether it be a job or classes.

Then Sunday I stopped over my sister's house, ate dinner, talked politics and then played with my niece Mia. It was funny. She had a bunch of fake plastic foods that we put into this little lunch box, and when she came to chocolate she tried to eat it. Then when she came to the ketchup bottle I asked her what the bottle was and she said "beer." I laughed and had to ask my sister what she was teaching her.

Oh, and I don't know if you saw but Obama has been easily collecting deomcratic primary and caucus victories. Even though he is a little behind in delegate count, in reality he's probably slightly ahead. If this all comes down to superdelegates (as it probably will) then they will choose whoever has the best chance to beat McCain in the general election, i.e. Obama. Even more interesting is the fact that Ohio's primary will be very important on March 4th, so we might get a chance to see both candidates. It's a very exciting time right now in the world of politics, so stayed tuned!
