A nice weekend, now back to work
So, I had a pretty good weekend (as previously stated in the title). One my old friends from high school came down to Columbus. I met up with him down on OSU campus Friday night with a few other buddies. He had to get a kidney transplant a few months ago, but he looks really good now. Actually, he was my Freshman roomate here at ODU in '05. Wow, I kind of forgot about that. Well, we were only roomates for a semester (he started getting sick around November & didn't come back the 2nd semester). I think he liked coming back up to Columbus, esp. OSU. We used to go down every weekend, so it was a bit like old times.
Saturday I went spent the night @ my sister's because we had to leave for Akron early in the morning. My brother-in-law (Bruce) and I stopped over the neighbor's house and played his new nintendo Wii until like 2:00 a.m. I had never played it, so I didn't know how fun it was. We had a few bowling tournaments (I was of course Roy Munson from the movie "Kingpin"). Then we tried a little tennis and golf. Boxing was (no exaggeration) tiring. See, you don't even have to punch that hard, all you have to really do is move the controllers in your hands, but once you start getting into it you really start punching. It was hilarious. We were a little out of breath.
Oh, and then Sunday my sister and I went to Akron to see my cousin. He's in the Paul Mitchell school of Cosmetology and they had a fashion/runway show. I'll be honest, driving up I wasn't sure what to expect or if I'd like it, but it turned out being pretty cool. My cousin coordinated a section where the models had one of the seven deadly sins scrawled in red lipstick on their bodies. Then their outfits and hairdo's corresponded to each sin. So, yeah I liked it. And the model weren't bad looking either!
But now it's back to the grindstone. I have to write a precis (pronounced pray-see) for political science, which will be no picnic. Then there's some homework for poetry class & some reading for American Lit.
Full plate this weekend, boys and girls.
Until next time, Cya!
