Why is Labor Day weekend so laboreous?

Hi guys and gals!

Alright so another week down and only 7 million more to go before I get to graduate! No, of course I am kidding. I would have to fail a LOT of classes if I still had that much more school to go. Anyway, I have a lot of exciting things going on in my life right now. Since I am the Philosophy Club's vice president, I have been tasked with presenting all of our anticipated events at our first meeting tomorrow. We are going to do a lot of fun stuff this year! We plan on taking a trip to Milwaukee for a conference, attending a few discussion panels, and best of all we are going to have regular get-togethers at my place to just hang out and talk about stuff. I am trying my hardest to get them to let me do a pig roast on the oval for one of our events! How sweet would that be!? I don't know if they will let me though.  Seriously, who doesn't love a good pig roast!? I mean unless you're a vegan barbequed oinker is great!

Now let me tell you what I did this weekend! Let me just say it was pretty much the best Labor Day you could have! Alright so, I know Thursday isn't exactly the weekend but it is just past hump day so it counts. Thursday I went country line dancing with some friends or at least that's what I tell people. I can't dance to that kind of thing and of course I can't really learn it either because I am too embarrassed to try. So, I pretty much just went to laugh at my friends and meet some new people. Then on Friday it was 80's night at my place! Um, 80's can you say, "Greatest music of any decade ever!" Saturday a friend and I went to the Greek Festival at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral downtown. That, my friend, was a blasty blast! The cathedral itself is stunningly beautiful inside but when you mix that with amazing Greek food and dancing you have yourself the start of a great evening! I say it was just a start because when we had our fill of Greek culture we walked a few blocks down the street to the Gallery Hop. Gallery Hop, for those of you that have yet to experience Columbus, is a big event that the City puts on every first Saturday of every month. It is a collaboration of culture, music, and art that all the shops down High Street participate in. My friend and I met up with some people there and had a great time! Monday, we had some people over for a cookout. We of course had to uphold the American tradition of having friends over, eating burgers off of the grill and burying our faces into a sweet watermelon. So we did! You should have been there! Alright I am outta here! I need to rest before classes tomorrow. I've been going all weekend nonstop!

Peace out girl scouts!
