Scoot scoot put put, riding her bike like a nut!
Hi all!
This week has been pretty good compared to the previous few weeks. I think I have everything settled and am ready to take on more challenges. Ha we shall see though!
Alright so my mother who is fifty two years old decided this past weekend to buy herself a two wheeled vehicle. Yep she got a freakin motorcycle! I couldn't believe it! It's nicer than mine and faster too! Ever since I bought mine in the summer time she has been feeling the need for speed and kept bugging me to help her get a bike for herself. So finally she went to the BMW shop close to our house and fulfilled her dream. I'm so jealous!!! Anyway I spent most of the day Saturday helping her pick out the right gear. She ended up buying a helmet, which of course is a necessity, and two riding jackets.
There is a funny paradox to this whole motorcycle riding thing though. I fully support anyone who wants to have a two-wheel experience. Let me tell you there is nothing like the liberating feeling of being on a motorcycle. Now kiddies don't go worrying your mothers by getting the fastest bike money can buy! My mother was a bit worried about me when I first told her I bought a motorcycle, especially since the first time I got on it I took a bad spill on it right in front of her. I had never operated a bike before that. But now the tables have turned and I am concerned about my mom's safety. Is a child supposed to worry about his parent's safety? This is a wierd feeling I assure you! I mean she is getting old and has had two minor strokes in her young age. I don't want her to fall off of the bike and really hurt herself. Seriously riding is dangerous enough for a young person but you put an older person on a bike and they take a spill at 45mph they may not hold up as well as a 22 year old like me. I don't know I guess I'll just have to ride with her. It'll be a fun experience I'm sure!
Alright kids I'm off to my favorite class this semester......Principles of Justice! I love to argue and debate so that is the place for me. :D I'll be seeing you!
