Hi-ho hi-ho it's off to work I go!

Hey guys and girls!

I hope all is well wherever you may be! Things are well here but oh so busy! As you know I just started my new job and it has been great but I am working A LOT! I work at least seven shifts every single week. I mean the money is nice don't get me wrong, but working pretty much full-time on top of going to school full-time is kind of hard. My job is a fast pace high energy, high intensity type of position so it requires a lot of pizzazz and fortitude. On top of the energy black hole of work I have to maintain just enough to go home afterward and read 45 pages of a text book in one night or write a paper depending on the class. Oh and not to mention that I like to have a bit of a social life! So I am faced with a challenge in going to school, having a social life, working, and being involved on campus. The challenge is to not only sufficiently accomplish all of these tasks but to accomplish them with excellence, something I really want to see in everything that I do.

Honestly I recommend not working while you're in school or at least working a tiny bit just for some spending money. It's not worth the stress and burned out feeling you'll get...trust me! I didn't work for a year and I loved it! Of course that would appeal to many but isn't really feasible. I understand that but if you at all can it would be worth focusing solely on school let me tell you. Interestingly enough, I learned that one of the law schools here in Columbus actually requires you not to work while you are attending it. Obviously they understand the value in devoting yourself totally to your studies. Hey at the very least you can get a job on campus to help with the bills!

Alrighty guys and girls I'm off to work a double today......sigh :)
