My first first last week
was my first test this semester—eek. I’m always a little nervous for
the first test in a class because most of the time I don’t know what
test style to expect from the professor. But this semester I have two
professors that I have had previously so this test wasn’t much of a
surprise, plus I studied, so I felt pretty prepared. I got the test
back yesterday and I’m off to a good start for the semester!
I
hope my first project grade is just as good, because my first pop quiz
grade wasn’t so hot. I turned in my first Media Design project last
Thursday. The finished product was better than I thought it would be
since I really struggled with creating it. One might assume that
because I’m a blogger I am also good with computers, and that
assumption couldn’t be further from the truth. Also I’m not the most
artistic person. Needless to say, my media design class is fun but
rather challenging.
We had our first win last Friday too! We
beat Indiana Wesleyan for the first time while I’ve been here—that was
a great feeling. Tricia, my fellow blogger and teammate, had the assist
for the goal in the game! The ODU football team won too—they have won
all of their games so far! And Coach told us we had our first two
recruits sign to play with us next year!
I got whacked in
the face with the ball over the weekend as well—which certainly wasn’t
a first—my nose started turning a little black and blue. I was devising
some sweet story about my black and blue face but I iced it and it went
away. I was a little disappointed I didn’t get a black eye and get to
tell some sweet story…then I remembered I had to get my picture taken
on Monday—so I guess things worked out for the best.
Yet
another first—this weekend was the first time I saw one of my friends
in months because he has been at boot camp. I hung out with him and
another one of our friends from school. It was Awesome! We watched the
Buckeyes beat Texas! And we stopped at a few of his favorite hangouts
since it was his first night back in town. All in all, it was a pretty
good week.
