I got to see my friend
Britney yesterday! She was only in town for a few hours—we got to go
out to BD’s Mongolian Barbeque. We had never been to the one at Easton
before and we found out they have a salad and soup bar that come with
the dinner! More food for your money is always exciting…I’m eating
leftovers right now. Easton is a huge outdoor mall right down the road
from school. It was really good to see her and talk—she plays soccer in
college too and she could sympathize with our season having ended on
Saturday. We lost an AMC qualifying match. We had a good season but
it’s disappointing that it’s over sooner than we wanted. This was the
first year that we won a conference championship, after beating Rio
Grande in our last season game on Wednesday (we were 7-1 in our
conference)
I’ll find out today at our team meeting when winter-training starts,
and until then I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself and free
time.
I went out with the girls for Halloween over the
weekend. I threw a costume together last minute and those kinds are
always interesting but I think mine turned out pretty good—construction
worker. I just borrowed a tool belt and some work boots and I was set.
I can’t believe Halloween is tomorrow and there are already Christmas
commercials on TV and displays at stores. What happened to
Thanksgiving? It seems like they come out earlier and earlier ever
year. O well, Happy Halloween!
