Weird food and World Travel

Last week was pretty eventful…trick or treat was tues. and about 250 kids came to our house! I handed out candy with three of my friends, and my dying pumpkin Sonny. I think next year I will wait to carve my pumpkin until the week before Halloween. Last year we ran out of candy so this year we were prepared and just bought a ton. I think the bad weather may have deterred some kids from going out this year too. Afterwards I went to a Halloween party with Ashley. We had a blast and then ordered-in from some crazy sandwich place that puts things like mac and cheese, corn dogs, mozzarella sticks, french fries on their actual sandwiches. The sandwich wasn’t so hot, yet an experience all the same. I also tried white chili for the first time that Austina (who is part of campus ministry) made. It got a much better review than the sandwich. There was a Grey’s party of course with Char and Cory, and a movie night with some friends from Capital. Capital’s girls team, by the way, beat Otterbein to go on in the tournament on Saturday. Congrats Sarah! I went and watched with my friend Kari (the three of us played soccer together in h.s.)—the longest game of my life! 3 hours in the freezing cold…two overtimes (score still 0-0)…then a tie in the shoot-out…then a sudden death shoot-out–it was intense!

I also had a random phone call from a woman who used my middle name, which caught me off gaurd, until I found out she was calling about information for studying abroad. There was a study abroad fair a few weeks ago in Erskine and apparently I used my middle name when filling out paperwork. I have been wanting to go to Italy for as long as I can remember and just never followed through with making plans. The annual fall trip that Alex (another blogger) is on right now sounds great, however that’s soccer season and well, let’s face it, I’m not going pro so these are the last four years I’ll be playing (competitively at least) so I’m not missing them. I’ll get there someday, like I was saying, I went to the study abroad fair and looked into some other options I have. I was thinking about going on a trip in May to Greece and Italy where I could even get art credit in two weeks, which would be amazing, except I’ll already be traveling the world in England! Yep I am going to Europe for the first time, with my soccer team! I can’t wait–now I guess the next thing in store for our team is lots of fundraising! I’m sure I’ll have more to write about that later…
