Did Buckeye Chuck Lie?
So Buckeye Chuck (our local groundhog representative) "said" we are supposed to be having an early Spring on Groundhog's day. I guess it is still possible but after Groundhog's Day the worst part of our winter finally came. Maybe he was mistaken...right now Spring seems like it's faaaarrr off! I was stuck in traffic for 2 1/2 hours last week on the highway when it snowed--the trip I was taking normally takes about 10-15 min. It was unbelievable! Literally, I don't know if I would have believed it if I hadn't been there--I missed an entire class and I had left early! I stayed in the lab late to try and get some work done and when Ashley and I left (we were the only two people in the building as far as we know) campus was covered in snow. The walks were being shoveled as we went into the lab just an hour and a half before and you couldn't tell. It looked really pretty and glittery, and campus was so peaceful. We were hungry so we went over to our main building--Erskine--and all the doors were locked. We looked over and realized the library was completely dark at 7:30pm--not normal. Apparently campus was shut down--o thats why it's so peaceful--oops...we had to go elsewhere for food, or ice cream rather. Yes, we were stuck in snow traffic all afternoon and dug our cars out of it 3 times since lunch and we went out for ice cream.
some random groundhog sketch...hmm
Then Wednesday I was working on a project for communications about magazines with another friend--we were researching magazines online and came across this teen magazine with quizzes and horoscopes etc. So of course, we looked at our horoscopes for fun-->According to it, I was supposed to confront a friend I had a secret crushon and my lucky day was supposed to be Thursday for the week. Well, I woke up Thursday horribly sick.
It Figures. I missed work and more classes (including the one I missed because of traffic). I hate missing class and having to make stuff up! Thankfully, I felt better Friday because I had medicine. But I laid low all weekend and tried to get caught up and things in general (does anyone ever really get caught up?) I didn't--I'm still trying.
Actually, I have a test tomorrow that I'm kinda nervous about. And I am going to get notes for it that I missed last week in about 1/2 an hour. Yea, I should get going...I need to get motivated--I think my medicine may be making me impartial to everything I should be stressing about--or maybe I'm just getting better at not stressing out? I dunno--when it all catches up with me, I'll let you know. My roommate wants to know if I think school will be canceled tom. because of snow. I highly doubt it, but here's to hoping! More time to study for this test would be greatly appreciated...
