Back from Spring Break
So Spring Break flew by just as breaks tend to do...this break wasn't all together the most exciting but it was fairly productive--which is what I was going for. I built up gradually the amount of time I am running and I did do some spring cleaning. The Goodwill is going to love me for the amount of clothes that came out of my closet at my parents' house. I filled our enitre hallway! It included treasures of clothes/shoes that don't fit, and random stuff I never got around to using that was practically brand new. Even though cleaning out things I've accumulated for the last 20 years will take more than a few days of Spring Break, I got a really good start. I felt productive and got some great flashbacks too. I found old pictures, high school graduation cards, projects from middle school, and clothes that were probably fashioned on Saved by the Bell. I was disappointed I didn't find any forgotten money...
I also started dogsitting for some friends that are out of town and I'm finishing that up this week. The dogs are awesome and well-behaved, but I forgot that one of them snores, so today I got some ear plugs just in case I have trouble getting to sleep. Last night was the first night I really noticed. One dog is big and the other is small. The small one is the one that snores. Last night I started laughing because I couldn't believe such a loud noise was coming from such a small animal!
I got my stereo exchanged for my car and I've been waiting to do that since January. I didn't really do any homework and that was okay since I got other stuff done instead. Some of my best friends from home had the same Spring Break or only a couple days of finals so I was able to catch up with a lot of them. We went shopping and I found jeans that actually fit, which is near impossible, for $10!!! It was at some obscure warehouse sale we came across--I was pumped. I went and visited the girls that I went on my road trip with a few weeks ago, at their college across town one night. And I saw several movies that I've been waiting to see with Britney because her dvd collection is almost comparable to Blockbuster! I watched quite a bit of March Madness too. The end of the Buckeye game Saturday was intense!
And I actually went to the movies twice with my mom, Katherine (who I've known since birth) and her mom. Simply going to the movies is a rare occurance in itself, but all of us getting together hardly ever happens. I'm glad we still have a dollar theater in town, it seems like prices are going up everywhere. My teammates from other parts of Ohio say that our prices aren't that bad. I guess I'm spoiled by the old $3.50 student prices from high school. After one of the movies we sat in a Graeter's for about 2 hrs. :( I said it was okay and I got some sort of icey stuff. It ended up being torture! I made it though...and Easter Break is right around the corner!
