BeatlesFest and The Ozarks

These are some pictures from the end of the school year--Carrie "studying" (a.k.a. hanging out on the lawn) in front of Erskine during finals week. We took advantage of the nice weather and tried to release some stress by taking study breaks and throwing frisbees on campus or just laying on the lawn. Campus is so pretty that time of year, especially after all the spring flowers have been planted. Graduation is outside if the weather holds up and this year it did! My friends that graduated were happy about that. I couldn't go since we were in England, but I've seen pictures. I'm working on campus a little bit this summer giving tours and people keep saying how well kept it is. The grounds staff at school does a great job!
And then there's two of my favorite pictures from ODU Day. Kelsey and I got our caricatures drawn...someone shouted that I liked the Beatles while mine was being drawn, so mine says "Cory meets The Beatles". A few weeks later I did...sort-of. I'll get to that. The other picture is of all my teammates (minus Steph) that played Powder Puff and one of our friends. Did I ever say that the upper classmen won? Well, we did--haha!

The week I got back from England, I drove to Kentucky with Brittany, Ashley, and Mark for Abbey Road on the River! I call it BeatlesFest. We met Char and Matt there because they live really close by. Char first told me about it last year at school. Her local radio station was advertising it. I've been two years and it is a blast! All weekend long, we just hung out and listened to different verisions of Beatles music/impersonations, swam, and ate. Below, is a picture of Britt and I with The Backwards--our favorite group at the Festival! They are very talented and cute :)

If you like The Beatles I definitely recommend this festival. And even if they aren't your favorite group, I bet you'd still have a fun time. One of the best parts of the weekend was hearing the complete Love album that just got released last year (I think). A lot of the groups there sang in that performance.

This is at my cousin Angie's wedding in the Ozarks! She looked beautiful! This is her dad walking her down the aisle. She got married outside by a natural spring. My parents and I took a picture by the spring, which is below, after the ceremony. The spring, Alley Spring, has an average daily flow of 81 million gallons! And we stayed that weekend in a little town of only 548 people! I spent a good amount of time by a bonfire and loved how I reaked of it even after the 10 hour drive home. And I got to see cousins I haven't seen in years! Seeing them again just made me wish we lived closer to each other. I hope I get to see them again soon! at least sooner than a few more years!

Well those were the other trips I went on that first month of summer. I tried to put up only a few of the best pictures. This past week Open Fields started for soccer. If any of you girls play soccer or know anyone that does--it doesn't matter if you are coming to ODU or playing soccer here--we meet every Wednesday @ 7 and every Sunday @ 5 on the field. Come and bring friends!
