Where's that darn planner?

I just got off the phone with PF Chang's ... I was making dinner reservations for next week for our Senior Soccer Dinner.  Basically, the seniors pick a time and a place and we go and have dinner with the coaches and they pay!  It took awhile, but I think we finally found a time and a place that'll make everyone happy.

Guess what I did last week right after I wrote my blog?  I went online and found an opening to get my hair cut that night.  My dad donated to the "Cory really wants/needs a haircut fund" and I left straightaway---I was so excited!  It's not a drastic change or anything, but I really like it :)  Plus, it's fun to feel pampered for an hour and your hair gets to look amazing for a day.  I can never quite get the same style or effect once I get home ... I guess I don't try that hard though.  Well, since my hair looked great for one night and I had to go someplace public, I called a friend to meet up for a coffee study break.

Then the week got a little stressful because I haven't been using my planner this semester.  With my senioritis, I started classes again, yet never really got organized for them.  I no longer have to keep a grades binder for coach, so my papers and syllabi are all over the place.  I kept telling myself I'd get organized and never did.  The postettes and notes piled up and I lost track of them.  I realized I was in trouble 1/2 an hour before one of my classes, when I thought I remembered my professor having said something about a quiz.  When in doubt, check the syllabus.  I did, but everything was thrown off because of the snow day.  I tried to at least skim the chapter for the quiz and got to class and found out I'd been skimming the wrong chapter!  I was a little early so I had a few minutes to study a 40 pg. chapter---needless to say, I'm not really looking forward to seeing that grade...

The second thing that made me realize it was time to find my planner, was an email I got later that night about a meeting being cancelled.  I didn't even remember that there was a meeting, let alone when it was.  Good thing it was cancelled ...

The third thing happened the following day.  We didn't have anything to do at work so I was cleaning out my email inbox, which I'm embarrassed to say rarely holds less than a couple hundred items.  I began relying on email for a lot of information and contacts once I started college.  Anyways, I found an old email about a luncheon I wanted to attend the next day.  Yet another event I had completely forgotten about!  The luncheon was set up by Sr. Catherine Colby, who runs the Center for Dominican Studies.  I'm really glad I didn't miss it!  I got lucky with the luncheon and the meeting, all the same, it is definitely time to get out my planner so I stay on top of my schoolwork and activities until graduation!

The weather got rough towards the end of the week ... we had another snow day on Friday.  I had picked up a shift at work, so that was cancelled, but otherwise I don't have class on Friday so my day was pretty normal.  I went with my friend Stephanie to get a new license, like she did with me over the summer, since her birthday is this weekend!!!  Also, one of my best friends called and told me she wasn't coming home from school that day like she was supposed to.  I was upset because I had big plans for us!  Her parents didn't want her traveling in bad weather.  Since she couldn't come to me, I made a spur of the moment decision to go to her ... ROAD TRIP!!!  I called my friend Sarah and the next day we were off!

This is Sarah, Britney, and I---I was sooo happy to see her!  It had been waaay too long, and I can't wait until she's back in town :)
