I'm as Good as Gone

It hit me last Wednesday that I'm graduating--I was on my way to Admissions for my last day of work and realized I would never give another tour at ODU and I was attending my last classes possibly forever ... WEIRD.  We had our admissions end of the year party last week.  I've gotten close with a lot of the people I worked with there--I mean it's been four years!  I'm going to miss you guys!  Thanks for making work a fun place to be :)

Speaking of work friends ~ Erin, Krista, and I after having some stuffed crust pizza :P  Krista is having a baby in the Fall!

I ended up moving my doctor's appt. to today so I could go to my last soccer class last Thursday.  The people in that class were sooo much fun--Coach said we were the second best class ever (the only reason we weren't first is because no one broke any bones).  Also I didn't mention before--our poetry reading went really well and there were not a ton of people, although there was food.  Actually, I wouldn't have minded if a few more people had been able to come.  I thought our poetry reading was really impressive, especially since most of us had not written poetry before this semester.  That's another class where I got pretty close with people and it's strange to think I might not ever even hear about how they're doing again.

I finished all of my other coursework at a reasonable pace so I could still have some fun with my friends the past couple of weeks.  There was some give and take--I didn't get to go to every event at school that I would have liked to and I never made it back to the photography lab to make more prints just for fun, but I did keep my GPA up so I'll graduate this Saturday with some type of honors.  I turned in my very last assignment yesterday and now I finally feel excited about graduating!  I started celebrating with Ashley and Carrie yesterday as soon as we could because we were finally FINISHED!!!  My camera died so there aren't any crazy pictures, but there are some that I still have from ODU Day below.  ODU Day is Awesome.  It's a day where we can eat snow cones, get tattoos and act like we're five years old.  What could be better?!

Kicking off ODU Day by putting up the Class of 2008's flag that hung our freshman year and has been up since ODU Day for graduation

Jessie, Krystal (who went in the dunk tank later) and Katie ready for some fun ... Jessie got a job offer later that day too!  Congrats Jessie!

One of my favorite professors getting tattoos with us :)

Someone running around in a diaper to win a prize--and then Ash and I ready to Sumo Wrestle

I won by the way -- LOL --

Help we've fallen and we can't get up!  Seriously, we had to get help.

After the PowderPuff Game--Upper Classman dominated Again!

I'm reading from the Letter of Saint Paul to the Philippians at Baccalaureate Saturday morning and going to my teammate's and roommate's graduation parties this weekend.  These next few days should be fun!  Please just pray for no rain because I want graduation outside!  Right now the weather forecast doesn't look good ... but you never know with Ohio.

I still have to get my cap and gown from Jessica (my friend that graduated last year) because I didn't want to buy my own.  I'm picking that up tonight and seeing her new house!  She gives me hope that things will all work out after graduation.  I'm looking into a couple of jobs, but I'm not in a hurry to pick just any job because Home Depot is treating me really well.

Anyways ~ I hope everyone has enjoyed reading my blog and I wish you all the best of luck in whatever it is you do!  My only piece of advice finishing college is to try and make the most of everything you do and enjoy every place you get to experience because more than ever I'm realizing that time flies.  And thanks to all of the people (friends, professors, staff, coaches, teammates) who made my time at Ohio Dominican some of the best years of my life.
